USEFUL INFORMATIONS

Access control :

To have access to the Maisel premises, each member must have a badge which is given to them upon joining Maisel.Your student card also manages access to the Foyer associatif and the computer rooms of the Schools, as well as your account at the campus restaurant.In the event of an access problem, contact the Maisel Reception or call 01 60 76 40 71 outside opening hours but in no case after 10 p.m.

 

Administrative Formalities :

As a general rule, contact the Maisel Reception during opening hours.For any questions related to royalties, CAF files, etc., contact the Maisel Management office directly (closed on Wednesdays). 

 

Associative home:

Hub of student life on campus, many activities are offered there; consult the campus association website and contact the BDE (Student Office).

 

Bedding:

In the accommodation, the bedding includes only the mattress and its protection; bedding is not provided; a bedding kit including sheets, blankets, pillow & pillowcase is offered (see prices), it is your responsibility to ensure its maintenance.

 

Departure :

It is imperative to inform the Maisel Reception of your departure at least one month in advance: you must make an appointment to carry out a contradictory inventory on the day of your departure and complete your exit formalities in the stride; in the event of early termination, you must provide 1 month’s notice in accordance with your membership contract. The accommodation must be left clean and in its initial layout, any damage or missing equipment is charged.

 

 

Emergency numbers :

A list of emergency and useful numbers is posted in your room on the back of the front door.A list is also displayed next to the entrance to the MAISEL Reception

Fees :

They are sent at the end of each month by email and must be paid at Accueil de la Maisel no later than the 5th of the following month.

Flatsharing :

La Maisel has a few furnished T3 & T4 apartments which can be offered as shared accommodation to non-first-time students from the 2 schools, on the essential condition of a commitment to occupancy for the entire school year, for each roommate. .In the event of non-payment of all sums due by the roommate member, particularly in the case of damage noted during the inventory of the premises upon departure, the roommates are jointly and indivisibly liable.In the event of a roommate’s withdrawal, the latter must do their part to propose a solvent roommate, upon validation by Maisel; failing this, he will have to pay in full the installments corresponding to the contractual duration of accommodation.

Garant:

The guarantor (natural person only) undertakes to pay the sums due in the event of default by the resident; it is not required that the guarantor reside in France.In the absence of payment of the fee one week after formal notice sent by registered letter AR, the member may lose his status as a member: if the guarantor does not follow up on the member’s default, and in the event that the recovery of the surety is not within the jurisdiction of the French jurisdiction, the membership contract is automatically terminated, leading to the removal of the member who must vacate the premises without delay.

Health:

On campus, a multidisciplinary team is at your disposal for any advice or health problems and to help you complete your studies in the best physical, psychological and social conditions.

Hawking:

The Maisel buildings are prohibited for peddlers, if you see any, report it to Reception, it is for your safety.

Housing Assistance (APL-ALS):

Allowance paid by CAF, depending on the status and resources of each resident. It is up to residents to make a request to the CAF; they can contact the office of the Maisel Directorate, assistance will be provided to them in preparing their file.

Insurance:

Rental liability insurance is required; in the case of furnished accommodation, home insurance is compulsory because you are fully responsible in the event of damage caused during your stay and any damage to your accommodation; Furthermore, MAISEL SudParis cannot be held responsible in the event of theft or damage.Information to send to your insurance:- the type of accommodation rented (room or, studio, shared apartment);- the surface area (in m2) as well as the number of rooms (including a studio);- equipment as part of a furnished rental – attach contract list;- the floor of the accommodation and the presence;- possible risks linked to the geographical area (none here).

Internet – Television – Wifi:

A very high-speed network is available in all accommodations, for a small fee to be paid to the MinET association, manager of the Maisel network; this right also includes reception of numerous television channels via the network (there is no terrestrial TV reception) and wifi accessibility in all accommodation.

Keys / Badge:

In the event of loss, you must contact Reception de la Maisel immediately or call 01 60 76 40 71 outside opening hours. Please note, there is no intervention after 10 p.m.

 

Laundromats:

In each building there is a laundry room equipped with washing machines and dryers as well as an ironing board and iron. There is a charge for washing (detergent provided), drying is free.

 

Membership:

Your membership to MAISEL SudParis becomes effective after signing a membership contract according to the model presented in the “Association” section. This membership contract commits you to respect the Operating Charter and the Statutes of MAISEL SudParis

Package :

La Maisel does not receive packages; if your sender uses a Post Office service (Colissimo, Chronopost), you may receive a collection notice in your mailbox and shall go to the post Office to take it.

Parkings :

Several car parks are available on campus as well as covered parking for two-wheelers opposite the U7.In addition, MAISEL offers two secure car parking spaces (outside building U5 and basement building U6), as well as 2 secure premises for bicycles (buildings U5 and U6); Contact the MAISEL Reception if you wish to use them (see prices).

Postal letter :In order to receive your letter without problem, you must tell all your correspondents the number of the accommodation you occupy. This must appear with your address. Registered letters are not received by Maisel.

Respect :

Living in a community means respecting the rules and people. For most of you, this is your first time living alone, so you need to take care of yourself and your surroundings. Please respect your neighbors, your interlocutors and common or collective areas (kitchen, laundry room, relaxation room)

Security :

It is obligatory to respect safety rules as well as safety equipment; any infringement or unjustified use of a safety device (fire extinguisher, emergency unlocking of access, etc.) is severely punished. The same applies in the event of possession of a prohibited device (see operating charter). 

Statutes and Operating Charter:

You must read the statutes and operating charter of MAISEL in order to be informed of your rights and obligations; all members undertake contractually to respect the Operating Charter.

Video protection:

This installation was motivated to combat damage to the collective facilities made available to residents as well as the security devices present in the buildings; it also aims to combat the occurrence of acts of burglary in the housing and premises of MAISEL SudParis.The buildings of MAISEL SudParis are private spaces not having the character of places open to the public within the meaning of case law, but which remain subject to the general provisions of article 9 of the Civil Code and article 226-1 of the Penal Code; a declaration of processing of personal data was sent to the CNIL which issued declaration receipt n°1365032 to MAISEL SudParis on May 19, 2009.All MAISEL SudParis accommodation buildings are equipped with video protection cameras; information signs are displayed at the entrance to buildings, in accordance with law no. 95-73 of January 21, 1995 amended by law 2006-64 of January 23, 2006 and decree no. 96-926 of October 17, 1996 .For any questions regarding the right of access to recorded images, contact the President of MAISEL SudParis.
